New Opening of 11th Reading Contest
The American Corner of Cambodia is hosting the 11th Reading Contest 2014.
The contest will help participants to improve reading and to foster a love and a habit of reading.
“Reading is a basic tool in the living of a good life.” by Mortimer Adler.
When: 25th April 2014 – 14th July 2014
Who can participate in the contest?
1. High school students
2. English language students
3. General public: 15 to 20 years old
Procedures:
• To register, the participants are required to show a student ID card or a family book.
• Participants have to earn passing scores of five journal entries in order to be selected to join the final round. Participants will get an evaluation form of the journal entry and a sample of the journal entry from a librarian after registering for the contest.
• During the final round, the participant whose names are drawn will be asked to talk about one of their journal entries within a few questions.
• Participants are required to submit at least five journal entries to the program committee in order to be graded.
• Participants can check out two books at a time for two weeks.
• The deadline for submission of final entries is on 14th July 2014.

1st prize: Electronic Dictionary
2nd prize: External Hard Drive
3rd prize: Backpack
4th prize: Flash Drive
5th prize: Badminton
6th-10th prizes: Nice Pens

The Final Round of 10th Reading Contest
American Corner Cambodia at PUC organizes the Final Round of Tenth Reading Contest. The competition of the reading contest will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 @ 11:15 A.M. The contest will be conducted at American Corner.
Important Note:The name of candidates will be drawn and then talk about their interesting stories within a few questions. All candidates shall come to the American Corner to be competed for the Tenth Reading Contest Prizes.
Scholarship Presentation
This presentation will be benefited for both undergraduate and graduate students in Cambodia.
Essay Writing Competition
This program is organized by Peace Corps Volunteers. The purpose this writing is to help improving students writing skills for high school students.
