On Thursday, January 26, 2017, The American Corner-PUC Cambodia hosted “Student VISA”program.

Barbara A. Bartsch-Allen was our speaker. Currently she is the First Secretary and a Consular Chief of the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh. She is originally from Dallas, Texas, Barbara A. Bartsch-Allen joined the U.S. Department of State in 2002.  She has worked for the Department in Indonesia, Guinea, France, Afghanistan, Russia and Cambodia.  She received her B.A. from Southern Methodist University in African/African-American Studies, Political Science and History and has an Masters in Public Administration from the University of Houston  specializing in Technology Management.  Before joining the State Department she served as Assistant Director at the Center for Development and Conflict Management at the University of Maryland.

On Wednesday, September 27, 2016, The American Corner Cambodia hosted “Live Viewing of the U.S Presidential Debate”program. Our special guest was Mr. Thomas Smitham currently serves as the Deputy Coordinator for Programs in the Bureau of International Information Programs.  His most recent assignments were as Minister Counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City and as Charge d’Affaires, U.S. Embassy Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
