Circulation services:
Registration Policy for American Corner (AC):
• Present a valid identification (national ID card, student ID card …)
• Adhere one photo (3 x 4)
• Registration fee: Free of ChargeBorrowing Policy:
• Present a valid Corner ID Card (American Corner)
• Number of books can be checked out: 2 books maximum
• Loan periods: 14 days
• Renewal: only once for 14 days
(books must be brought to the library to be renewed)Fine Policy:
• One day late: 500R (Fine is up to 40,000R maximum)
• Over 30 days late: borrowing privileges will be suspended for 100 days
• Damaged plastic covers: 1000R for each
• Damaged barcode labels: 1000R for each
• Damaged call number labels : 1000R for each
• Lost items: must pay for a current replacement cost plus 4000R for each item -
Free Internet access:
The Internet, for research purposes, is available free of charge for limited periods via American Corner computers. Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The corner also provides Wi-Fi access for unlimited periods. Users can obtain a password to access Wi-Fi from library staff at the Information Desk.
Computers:
Computers are available for students to learn and practice English through the use of CDs, VCDs and DVDs. Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. -
Cable TV/DVD player/VCR:
There are two big screen TV with a cable connection to access news and documentary programs. Channels available for viewing include: CNN, Channel News Asia, CNBC/UBC, Bloomberg TV, Animal Planet, National Geographic and The Discovery Channel. Moreover, there are comfortable chairs for users to relax and enjoy watching TV.

Reading spaces:
The American Corner has several reading spaces for students to study. The corner is equipped with air conditioners, thus the atmosphere is conductive for reading or studying.
