FULL SAIL UNIVERSITY (FL) SOUND FOUNDATIONS SCHOLARSHIP FOR FUTURE MUSIC AND RECORDING PROFESSIONALS

The Full Sail University Sound Foundations Scholarship is designed to encourage and develop future music and recording professionals. Through the Sound Foundations Scholarship program, eligible participants may receive up to $19,000 towards the tuition of select Full Sail University campus music and recording associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs, including: Event Production Associate of Science, Recording Arts Associate of Science, Music Production Bachelor of Science, Recording Arts Bachelor of Science & Show Production Bachelor of Science.

RIPON COLLEGE (WI) OFFERS MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Ripon College is offering merit-based scholarships for qualified international candidates. International student scholarships do not exceed $15,000.00 for the 2015/16 school year. However, Ripon College does consider potential need-based aid in addition to merit-based scholarships.

SPECIAL TUITION RATES BEING OFFERED TO PROSPECTIVE EASTERN ILLINOIS (IL) STUDENTS

Undergraduate Students:

Students receive a special scholarship rate, which allows them at least a $13,500 savings (GPA 3.5-4.0) or $12,000 savings (GPA 3.0-3.49) on tuition per year. The rate is locked in for four years. No scholarship application is needed. The total estimated cost for EIU (2014-2015) with this scholarship is $19,612 a year (including tuition, fees and living expenses).

Graduate Students:

Incoming GPA 3.0 - 4.0 Students are eligible for a scholarship for up to $8,000 savings on tuition per year. Students must apply and be admitted to EIU by March 1 (fall) or October 1 (spring). The total estimated cost for EIU (2014-2015) with this scholarship is $16,882 a year (including tuition, fees and living expenses).

SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY (CA) OFFERS GENERAL LLM PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS

Southwestern awards deserving students General LL.M. Program Scholarships each semester, providing partial tuition to entering General LL.M. students. Scholarship determination is based on the admissions application, their professional experience and law school grades and letters of recommendation. No additional materials are required. Each Wednesday night without fail, Elizabeth Sierra-Arruffatt prepares a home-cooked meal for a group of students who have traveled across the world to study here at Pierce College. As a Pierce alum, Sierra-Arruffatt got to know many international students while she was in school, and developed a great respect for the bravery it takes to study in a foreign country.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS BEING MADE TO FEEL AT HOME IN U.S.

When Emmanuel Abu arrived in Huntington, West Virginia, from his native Nigeria to begin college at Marshall University last fall, everything seemed to have been planned out to ensure a smooth matriculation.

On February 25, NAFSA: Association of International Educators announced Rutgers University as a recipient of the 2014 Simon Award for their comprehensive internationalization efforts.

Rutgers received the 2014 “Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization” for excellence in integrating international education across all aspects of college and university campuses.

KINGS COLLEGE (PA) IS RECRUITING STUDENTS FROM TURKEY

With their sights set on diversifying campus while reaching students on an international basis, representatives from King’s College have returned from a trip to Turkey, where several academic partnerships were established.

On the trip, King’s President Rev. John Ryan and Dr. Fevzi Akinci, associate dean of the William G. McGowan School of Business, met with of not-for-profit universities to share several school initiatives.

The agreement calls for a “2+2” commitment between the student and the school, in which a student would take two years of courses at one of the participating Turkish schools and finish the remaining two years at King’s, receiving a degree from both.
