University of Findlay Announces

The EducationUSA Global Scholar Awards

(four-year renewable full-tuition scholarships)

Full-tuition scholarships for those undergraduate applicants working directly with EducationUSA Advising Centers

Criteria:

1. Minimum 3.75 GPA equivalent
2. Minimum 79 TOEFL/6.5 IELTS
3. Demonstrated leadership through service and/or extracurricular activitie
4. Enrolling as a first-time university student in Fall 2017
5. Recommendation letter from an EducationUSA adviser
6. Essay on the topic: "How I can be an ambassador for my country in the United States?"

    Deadline for applicants: February 15, 2017

Conditions of award:

1. Recipients must reside in University residence halls for the first year with a meal plan, then in either residence halls or other university housing for the second year;
2. Recipients will be asked to volunteer in the International Admissions & Services office for virtual chats with prospective international students;
3. Recipients will present to the university community on student panels regarding their countries' culture, traditions, government, etc.;
4. Recipients will meet with their residence advisers (RA) to determine a suitable topic to present to their floor mates as part of RA programming for their residents; and
5. Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA at UF to have the award renewed.
